Georgios
Charalambous

Dr. Georgios Charalambous is the founder of the Polymathy Foundation and Cyprus’s national delegate to the World Council for Gifted and Talented Children (WCGTC) – the world’s leading body for gifted education. He also serves as the Chair of the European Mathematical Society’s Young Academy and as the Organizing Secretary of the Cyprus Mathematical Society.

A graduate of the University of Cambridge, he has spent years working with gifted and highly able young people, observing how the most creative minds are rarely confined to a single field. It was at Cambridge – a place where mathematics converses with philosophy, engineering with music, and science with the arts – that he came to understand a simple but powerful truth: excellence flourishes at the borders between fields, not inside any one of them.

This conviction led to the creation of the Polymathy Foundation. Its purpose is to bring that Cambridge idea to the children of Cyprus: to cultivate breadth, to reveal hidden talent, and to prepare young people for a world that no longer rewards the narrow specialist. As Cyprus’s WCGTC delegate, he brings international standards of gifted education home to Cyprus, translating best practice into Greek and placing it within reach of ordinary classrooms, parents, and teachers.
